Trinity Musha Mines recently welcomed a delegation from the Belgian Development Agency – Enabel Rwanda and the Rwanda Extractive Industry Workers Union to showcase the impact of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) initiative in the mining sector.

The RPL program has officially certified over 300 informal mine workers at Trinity, providing them with formal recognition of their skills and expertise. This marks a significant milestone in fostering collaboration between employers and employees, while empowering workers with the recognition they deserve.

During their visit, the delegation had the opportunity to tour Musha Mine and Heza Decline, where they witnessed firsthand how these initiatives are driving transformation in the mining sector. The delegation praised Trinity Musha Mines for their commitment to recognizing and valuing the skills of informal workers, highlighting the positive impact this initiative is having on the industry as a whole.

The RPL initiative at Trinity Musha Mines is not only improving the lives of informal mine workers by providing them with official certification, but it is also contributing to the overall growth and development of the mining sector in Rwanda. As more workers are recognized for their skills and expertise, the industry as a whole stands to benefit from a more skilled and empowered workforce.

The visit from the delegation served as a reminder of the importance of recognizing and valuing the contributions of all workers in the mining sector, and Trinity Musha Mines is proud to be leading the way in this important endeavor.
