Brazil Ambassador to Rwanda met REWU Team to Deepen Mining Sector Ties with Focus on Skills, Training, and Decent Work

On 19 November 2025, H.E. Irene Vida Gala, the Ambassador of Brazil to Rwanda, received the Secretary General of the Rwanda Extractive Industry Workers Union (REWU), Eng. Mutsindashyaka Andree, together with his accompanying delegation.

Their discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between REWU as a Trade Union in Rwanda’s mining sector and Brazil, particularly in the areas of Skills development, Training programs, and The Promotion of Decent Work through the Recognition of Prior Learning Program .

The aim is to enable Rwandan miners to benefit from Brazil’s advanced expertise, enhance their professional skills, Training programs to promote welfare for workers in the mining industry. The meeting was highly productive and significant.
