REWU Secretary General Eng. Andre Mutsindashyaka Attends Steering Committee Meeting for Decent Work and Social Protection Programme



Kigali-The Secretary General of the Rwanda Extractive Industry (REWU), Eng. Andre Mutsindashyaka, participated in the 4th ordinary steering committee for the Decent Work and Social Protection Programme on Thursday, 17th October, 2024.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Public Service and Labour, focused on reviewing progress from the past two years and outlining actions for the fiscal year 2024-2025.

The Decent Work and Social Protection Programme aims to improve the living conditions and welfare of vulnerable citizens, with a particular focus on women.

During the meeting, participants discussed ways to further advance these goals and ensure that all citizens have access to decent work opportunities and social protection services.

Eng. Andre Mutsindashyaka’s attendance at the steering committee meeting highlights REWU’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote social and economic development in Rwanda.

The discussions and actions outlined during the meeting will play a crucial role in advancing the programme’s objectives.

The programme’s steering committee, chaired by the Ministry of Public Service and Labour and co-chaired by Enabel, meets twice a year with implementing partners.

Through the ongoing partnership, REWU and Enabel continue to work together to promoting social protection and decent work in mining sector.
